About a month ago I bought a glock 17 throgh EE forum.

I sent the payment and I received registration and trasfer notification.

But it's been almost 20day since the seller said that he will ship out the gun and i hear nothing from him.

He is in ON and I know it doesnt take this long the gun to arrive in AB because i used to work at UPS.

What should I do, any suggestion?

Has the transfer been completed, or is it still in progress? If you have not received notification of if it's been completed yet you should call the CFO and check on it.

If you go onto the seller's profile page you should be able to see the last time they logged in, that might help gain an idea of if the seller's ignoring you or just hasn't been online at all. Do you have the seller's email adress or phone number?

If it's been 20 days since the transfer was completed, and you've already paid, you might want to consider calling the CFC and explaining the situation. Not very likely, but it's possible you might have been conned and sold a pistol that belongs to someone else. Or who knows, maybe the guy had a heart attack or he's working out in camp. There have been cases of people essentially using the EE as a payday loan system, selling a gun and never sending it and refunding the buyer's money at a later date.

If it goes on much longer, call the CFC and see if they can't get ahold of the seller. When it comes right down to it, the guy has something that belongs to you. Maybe even the seller is using fraudulent information.

Hopefully it works out okay for you.

Every process been completed and I just called CFC, and the guy said now it is my responsible for this firearm...
All I know is his CGN name and email address...I'm totally crushed...
He has like 600 posts on here and positive 7 trade rates, I don't think he is one of that guy but man....

EE is risky business, I just buy new from vendors to be on safe side, sure it cost more than used, but safe and you have warranty. I hope this guy sends you your gun, that would suck if u got scammed.

What Province is he in?
It wasnt to long ago an internet hand shake was as good as a contract.
I have had nothing but good dealings with guys here buying and selling.
Sucks that those days appear to be going the way of the T-Rex...
Best of Luck and do not forget to post the questionable characters name and police report info
under the bad deals section.

Are you saying that you don't even have any confirmation that the gun has been shipped.
I hope that this ends well, but you should have gotten much more info from the seller and even called him and spoke with him personally. I know this is of no help to you now.
As I said, I hope this works out and you get what you paid for, but it does not look good.

If you are unable to contact him, I would certainly be filing the police report and post the info including the users moniker and info that you have in the bad deals forum.

well, whats his name??

just had a thought.....
Did the seller send you any pics of the gun...if so do you still have them.
all photos contain data and depending on what the photo was taken with, you may be able to extract gps info from it. In other words the exact location of where the photo was taken.
A long shot though......

Another thing to try is to drag and drop the picture into google image search. It can dig up similar photos and see if it has been used elsewhere. If it is a scam, chances are the pictures were taken by someone else.

Not too long ago a guy on here got a message, a friend of his saw some photos on another forum and recognized the equipment and range. Some guy was using other people's photos to try to scam people.

I have had strange things happen on this site too. For that reason, when I am buying, no money via emt leaves my sweating palm until I have a scan of his/her PAL on my files. You will be surprised how many sellers refuse to give you their PAL scan or jpeg while demanding yours in no uncertain terms. With his PAL, there is no identification problem and then getting the police involved. They are only too happy to do it as fraudulent firearm transactions means only one of two things - crime or terrorism. At least, for that we can thank Wendy Cukier!!
