RSA "X" bullets?

Many, many years ago I read about South African company producing their version of monometal bullets that 1/3rd of it or so in the front was designed to break away in the form of 3 or 4 petals from main shank allowing the rest to penetrate like solid. I wonder if that company is still in bussiness and those bullets are still available. I wouldn't mind to try them on heavy game here in BC.
 
GS are not designed to break away as far as I know. I have seen a few recovered that all mushroomed and have one on my bench from a sand backstop that mushroomed.
Tri- blade do the break off thing as did the old Goodnel mono's from SA. Perhaps the first generation GS did that at times.
