I've only been following this a little, but I thought it took AK mags? Would that not mean any mags for this gun would have to be pinned? (Like the mossburg MVP)

I dunno about having pinned AK mags. It would be unfortunate if that were true. But if it is not a purpose built magazine for this rifle, then likely it will be pinned, negating some of the fun.

Shorter barrel and still NR as well as standard capacity magazine, v.s. bolt action.
It's pretty close to a fair trade off in my mind.

Humm thats why its not a AK variant .. They must have removed the whole gas system .. They have many semi autos turned into bolt actions in the UK , such a shame .. You can count me out for this rifle .. knew there would be a hook to it all..

Well if its tight and can shoot tight at 100 yards then I'd be happy with a bolt action and no restriction capacity mags, makes a cheap ammo good calibre gun. Instead of shooting my model 94 30-30 with leverevolution ammo at 25bucks for a box of 20, I'd rather shoot mfs 7.62x39.
