With Epoxy7's permission, I will post the original unedited ad... And the edited version... And the rule change I suggested when the topic was being discussed... You guys already know the rule as it's been implemented...

Cheers
Jay

Mods/Admin feel free to check my PMs to verify my intent and post the outcome of your review here. It's all there. My thoughts on the ad that ticked me off and led me to create the WTB along with my responses to PMs I received regarding the ad. Plus Fireball and Lineofsight were privy to my intentions by text before I posted that ad. The intentions were good. I can actually prove it.

We'll I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, but it's a pretty cryptic way to show solidarity with Swiss Arms Rifle owners. I still don't quite get it.

Regards, Clobb.

You would think that would be the only ethical thing to do when selling.

I'm under the impression that there are some other firearms that may also be under review- one would think the same -mentioning possible classification change- would be appropriate.

EE's gonna get more and more complicated...

Soooo.....
What would be the difference if someone posted one for sale, price based on "what CGN deems reasonable amt" lets say $2000.
Someone makes an offer for 750. an its accepted
Is that forbidden as well
What about $150. to $250. Beowolf mags? Are they deemed to be fair priced.
Would you get an infraction or a warning for a WTB add for said mags only willing to pay $50.

What I am getting at is this is an open market, You can offer, accept, decline at your own free will.
If your dumb enough to purchase p-mags at $40. ea. for a $24. item you get what you deserve.
It works both ways

Waiting on Epoxy7's reply before posting the info... Off to bed soon, so it may have to wait till tomorrow if at all...

Cheers
Jay

To be clear...
I in no way am intending to p*ss on anybodys shoes here... maybe I missed something ???
Supply/demand and profiteering and all that other BS aside buy and sell at your own will.

Have to control everything. Don't like his post don't reply. More and more rules to protect the sheep. How about the mods monitor every sale, protect all. If you want to sell your gun for 30 cents on the dollar because you feel the government will take it, so be it.

So let me get this straight...if I post a WTB ad that is crazy low I can get an infraction for it...but if I make a ridiculous low ball offer on an existing WTS ad I'm ok? Or can I get an infraction for that also (because CGN might find it unethical)...or is it only if I post in the ad that I'm lowballing due to a possible prohibition order coming?

How about if I just run all my posts/ads by a mod beforehand to make sure I don't mess anyone up? I can almost feel the infraction coming...

Already got one for some BS about old farts being a protected minority on CGN. Feels like a liberal government is running the show lately. Did daddy mcguilty get a new job as CGN mod ?

Ya apparently the c in cgn stands for a word that starts with com and ends with nist. Lol to freely bargain and nickel and dime is illegal.

The word is compassionist of course. Compassion for the over pricing of used guns lol.

Here we go with the usual crowd pissing and moaning about CGN adnim jack booting their way across the internet.

Some of the other forums I frequent would toss many of the members here in less than a few posts. It's a very tolerant forum and that tends to water down the quality of the content.

And yet, still complaint after complaint.....

As most people know there is a lot going on with possible reclassification. The Swiss Arms PE90 is one such rifle.

The background:

When the news hit I saw a ton of WTS ads with rifles priced only a few hundred below retail. The usual explanation was "new interests, projects" etc. I don't think so. What I saw were people trying to get their money out and hoping others who only look at the EE weren't aware of the current situation. I have a few buddies who only check the EE and would have no idea about the current situation.

While complaining about some of the BS ads to some friends it came to me. A WTB ad right there stating possible reclassification to prohibited. Right amongst all the WTS stuff. I also chose to list a price that I personally would rather burn my Swiss Arms rifle than sell at. IE $500. I figured at $1000 I might get some takers, which I didn't actually want.

Anyways I've received a number of PMs regarding this. Some curious, laughing and one not so nice. Plus there is now a policy change on the EE. :p

I just wanted to post that the intent of that ad wasn't to make money or actually buy any Swiss Arms rifles (I have bought none and really didn't want to risk $500 as at this time the odds aren't in our favour). The intent was public awareness on the EE. I'm a firm believe in fighting this situation as I really don't want to lose my rifle. The more that are aware of it and frankly stuck in the same situation rather than passing the risk off to others the better chance we have.

I thought your post was kinda funny and I understood what you were doing.. kinda.

I just hope everyone gets to keep their SA rifles, because I still want a CQB one day.

Hey now. Unreasonable EE ads are never funny

Hope you don't get slapped with an infraction like I did.

You were infracted for that?!?

Holy ####....so much for free market

I truly don't understand why Cgn feels the need to regulate activities between willing buyers and sellers

i sold one to Epoxy7 , great buyer :) thanks for your devotion......

Hehe nice one. I can see it now. Our investigation shows you purchased every Swiss Arms rifle on CGN. We have a warrant to search your house, outbuildingsand grounds. Where would you like us to park the excavator? Doh..

Sorry just sent Jay the PM saying go for it with the ad. Was watching the hockey game.

I don't understand what he did wrong even if he was trying to profit off of others and the current situation. How is he doing anything wrong by posting a wanted ad? Sure its a low ball offer, but if someone feels that their gun might get confiscated and get 0$ from the Gov't then they might feel that the 500$ is a good deal. I highly doubt it but who knows. People post outrageous ads on EE daily asking for WAY more then the rifle is worth, Pmags selling for 50$+ which is pure capitalism so how is offering below market value not allowed? Not trying to stir the pot, the rule just doesn't make sense to me..
