A local store has a few NEA 7.5" PDW rifles in and i would like some testimonials before i drop the cash. If you own one what has your experience been so far?
I have heard NEA has changed the front rail/the way it connects and the barrel is black not grey, is this also true for the 7.5?
I do own a 14.5" nea and well.... it was rocky start but works fine now. My biggest concern is the pistol length gas system and the buffer.

Mine was a bit of a problem gun, but NEA ironed out the issues and it has been nothing but reliable since. Mine was a first gen 7.5, I imagine the fixes I had to mine are already done on the newer ones. The front rail connects under the gun now rather than a pinch in the sides. It is much cleaner looking.
 
i've been rocking one. a few problems but have been rectified. i had two, one first gen, the second, which I've since sold, was second or third...
in anycase, its heavy duty, as in heavy for its kind.
 
I really want to pick one of these up eventually.. definitely in Taupe color...Just want it to have everything ironed out first though....
 
i am trying to find pictures of the new style rail on 7.5 but not finding anything. the local shop have the old style rail so i may pass up until the newer version arrives. it was nice to see it was black and not purple
 
geez.... id seriously have an issue putting down cash on a rifle when everyone who comments on it reports of problems that needed to be rectified. Maybe its just me, but, id save a few more bucks and get something with a better track record,,,

If you can find one, jump on a Spikes 7.5 PDW. By far the best kept secret in 7.5 ar's and a great value for what you get. Mine has been flawless.






I couldn't bring my self to buy NEA after the multiple threads I read on the qc and reliability issues

the spikes has me interested but where can i get one? who imports? the only issue i have with some of these american companys is who will do the warranty work if there is an issue?
 
Buy the 18". It makes a better boat paddle when it stops shooting. HAHA. Just kidding. Some guys love em, some guys hate em. Some have problems, some don't. It's like any gun.
 
My NEA PDW ran like a champ last night. Mag/Ammo related issues notwithstanding, its pretty darn reliable and accurate (if I do my part)

There are no pin slots. That is usually part of the FSB install. No FSB, no slots, and that is pretty much the same across the board as far as AR manufactures go.....

I have a 7.5" NEA, low 200 serial #..... Lots of gremlins at the start, as we're most NEA rifles. If you already have an NEA rifle you know this......

Accuracy is fairly good, NEA does do good barrels. 1/7 twist, not for heavier pills but because of the short barrel.

I have 3500 rnds down range on mine since I worked the kinks out. I have had 3 stoppages, all ammo related. Nork ammo tends to loose primers in rifle when the temps get above +20, hardly the fault of the rifle........

I love mine and seems to run flawless, im at 300 rounds so far, juss got it, mine is the last production and they have fixed the main issues they had, also lifetime warranty on the barrel cant be beat.





 
Have nearly 1500 rnds through mine including approx 700 in a carbine course, runs well. I liked it so much I have a 12.5" with a 12" rail on its way.

Ps it's not purple I think that's from the awning that its under.
