Good point^
But really though it goes like this...
RCMP: "we've managed to back track through (supposed deleted/destroyed) LGR data base that you at one time owned a NR Swiss Arms rifle. Are you still in possession of that rifle?"
Joe Blow: "No i sold that rifle to Steve ...#### what was his last name again...libberman...lobberman...luberman...hell i cant remember,i wasn required to store all his info...i was only required to make sure his possess a valid pal which he showed me"
RCMP:"You're lying, you still have the rifle"
Joe Blow: "No"
Add/change above statement with literally dozens of plausible explanations why you no longer possess that rifle and why you dont remember/know who does
Now im certainly not advocating lying to the RCMP and being in possession of a Prohibited firearm...but its really that simple.
Now if the question is ,is it a smart thing to do to lie to the RCMP and be in possession of a prohibited firearm..well then obviously no its not and if i owned a Swiss Arms id prolly turn it in if it were to become prohibited...with compensation of course. I guess its lucky for me(or unlucky) i sold mine before any of this nonsense came about.
