A few questions about the Tavor

Thanks for asking this question OP, I too was having the same problem. I sort of figured that it had to do with the fact that the pin was preventing the rounds from being pushed further into the mag, I am glad to know I was right.

Shoot the heck out of it. That's how I've broken in every one of my carbine barrels and they all shoot 1.5-2 MOA after a couple thousand rounds if I really take my time and get some decent ammo.
