My compliaments. I'm a fan of blued steel and nicely figured wood and you did well in my estimation. Congrats on your acquisition.

I had a gun with a name, an old Winchester Model 70 from the 80's in 300 Weatherby I nicknamed "Thunder". I believe it was an XTR model? Bought it used and didn't use it much but it was LOUD.

I don't name my guns, but the kids named two of my wheeled guns.
My S&W 44 mag is named Clint and the Python is none other than Monty.
Again it was the kids not me, really.

I have never specifically named any rifles or handguns, but a few have picked up generic nicknames for obvious reasons.........the Bob (257 Roberts) the Double (470 Merkel) the 50 (Steyr HS50) the Safari (Sako Safari .375) and of coarse Ted, the 360 Wagner (9.3X62 CZ FS)......

We did it in the army. I call my pump 12 Jezebel because she's bad news for any man on the business end. I call my .50AE "The Alamo" because if it comes to that it's the last stand for me and chances are the zombies are coming over the barricades.
