Dominion Outlaw or Norinco Coach with 12" barrels?

I've had both, the older outlaw from 4 years ago to the jw2000 last year. I found them pretty much the same shotgun with the newer models being a little more finished. But again, it's a Norc , so your getting what you pay for.

Stay away from both. My Norinco Coach gun's butt stock broke last week end. Now I am trying to find a replacement. I don't hold our much hope. Looks and feels like the stock is made out of balsa wood. Its pretty light stuff. In all fairness though this particular gun is from the first run, but I have not put a lot of rounds through it. The latest guns might have stocks made of stronger wood.
How long have you had yours?

I have had mine for less than a year, I should have mentioned that it is the model with 20" barrels. I bought it 'used' from the local gun shop. The gun looked relatively new. It still had a ton of cosmoline on it and the internal parts looked unfired with no scratches or wear marks. I have given up trying to find a replacement stock. The usual suspects who import Norinco guns had none or did not respond to my emails. So I just glued and pinned it. I have since fired 25 slugs and 25 00 Buck though it and it held together. Yes, my shoulder took a pounding, but it was fun.

My first JW2000 came with a bent muzzle (fixed by a gunsmith for a few dollars) and developed a crack in the stock after six bulk target shells. It was replaced by the dealer, and the second has survived twelve so far. Fit and finish on the second (from the same dealer order) seems a bit better except for some crud in the vent rib grooves and a spot of messed up blueing near the muzzle...seemed to have some solder or slag or something stuck to it there when I received it. Both guns needed some loctite on the side plate screws and some hockey tape under the foreend to stop a bit of a wiggle.
I may try to unload mine on the EE to make some room for new guns. I don't really need three 12 gauges, as much silly fun as the short coach gun is.
ISS, did you fire both barrels simultaneously on your coach gun or only singles?

I admit I pulled both triggers at once when I first got it. Who wouldn't? But only once and with cheapie Wal-Mart target loads. Most of the times I've fired this shotgun its been target loads, #2 and #4 shot and a single barrel at a time. I've rarely fired buckshot or slugs through it. I generally baby my guns, as abuse tends to cost money.

took mine out today for the first time, put about 20 shells just to confirm it works. i shot a few slugs, buckshot and #7, one barrel at a time. i'll probably duct tape it until it falls apart.
the safety doesnt work for the other barrel either

That it exactly were mine cracked. I glued it with high strength wood glue and it seems to have fixed it. I think me and Norinco will be parting ways. I get that the price is right, and you get what you pay for. I would be willing to throw down a bit more for a stock that lasts more the one trip to the range.
