Just follow the video, I did mine by myself using a padded vice. Careful how you put the received in the vice and how you tighten it. If in doubt get a friend to help.
I was a newb when I did mine and I didn't break anything. Easy peasy.

What exactly do you mean about the reciever?
If you squeeze the receiver by the breech opening and you tighten the vise to tight you can bend the receiver.
Pad the jaws.
