How do you like your Winchester 9422 XTR?

I'm in the market for another 9422. I've had a few offers for XTR versions which isn't quite what I'm after. I just don't know if the gloss is my thing, I like the satin on my current one. How is the gloss over the checkering because that's another thing I really want. Is the gloss as deep as a Browning BL22, I've owned one of those and it was almost too pretty to shoot.
 
9422M XTR Classic, owned it since new. Almost too pretty but sure does shoot. No checkering on this model and has the semi pistol grip.
 
I have one of the 94/22 classics as well,pistol grip,curved steel butt plate and no checkering with nice oiled stock.I think classic is a good name for it because it s a classy little gun

Thanks for the replies, I ended up finding exactly what I was looking for. Those Classics are interesting though, a lot like a Marlin 39.
 
What is the bluing like on the XTRs? On my standard the receiver is glossy but the barrel and mag tube are more brushed in appearance.
