Eotech 551 brightness issues

With new batteries doesn't seem very bright I sunlight. Is this common or is mine broken? Thanks!

Did you buy it new or used?

Does the center button (where the NV button should be) turn the reticule green? If so, you have a counterfeit.

Yes pretty sure its not a fake. It has the NV function and goes very dim when I press the button. I bought it used from a CGN-er.

Did you check out compared to the PDF? You also shouldn't see it at all when on NV mode.

Havent looked at the PDF yet. And youre right about the NV. The reticle goes out so I assume the NV mode works... dont have NV to test it

I see your in the lower mainland, I'm in Abbotsford if thats not to far and you would like to bring it by my work to take a look. I have quite a few Eotech's and will be able to tell you pretty quick if its a fake. I'm doubting it is. The models like yours can have battery contact issues. PM me if you would like any help.
