To the guy at Bass Pro gun counter in Vaughan who swore up and down that $56/1000 for your CCI primers was a good deal and I wouldn't find them anywhere. Well I left there yesterday drove to Rougeriver Arms and picked up the same primers for $37. You said you buy them 10000 at a time?? I hope Bass Pro gives you a huge discount! By the way you shouldn't treat your customers like they don't know what they are talking about. Mods if this post is in the wrong place I am sorry but I feel better now. Thanks for listening everyone. :D

It's cheap (for Bass Pro), at one time they were selling cci small rifle primers for $7/100. That's why they still have them when everyone else is sold out

Up until recently I was buying cci small rifle for $24/k.
Then they went to $26...
They're now at $35...

Oh we'll... Folks gotta make a profit. Nothing ever goes down in price...

Bass Pro is a joke. It's a tourist trap and their stuff is priced accordingly. I can't imagine any serious shooter buying their supplies from there.

Prices at Bass Pro are just to high for everything
I never shop there.

Must be nice ... 56$/1000 has always been about the going rate here

island outfitters I presume? my least favorite gunstore on the island, I wouldn't regularly pay $56/1000 for primers, I think last time I bought primers I paid $32.99/1000 at WSS.
I usually don't buy much of anything from them but I needed Varget and have been out for ~6 months, I call the local stores every couple days looking for it then figured I should give island outfitters a call, usually I pay $37/lb (locally) on the high side, IO had it for... $48.99 what a joke. well I jumped in my car and made the 1.5hr drive to get bent over and reamed out for a pound of powder.
I didn't need it but got a price on win748 while I was there $39.99 the guy helping me seemed shocked at how much cheaper then varget it was..... I pay $32.97 locally for it.
I think if anyone is looking to open a gunstore on the island, Victoria is the place to do it, with normal/competitive prices you'd be set.

Lawry's still has CCI primers at $35/1000, another place not to far from there are charging $59/1000. Any body want to guess where I bought my primers from?

Hey Guys
Check out my website for powder & primers.
Shipping to Vancouver Island is cheap & you can usually have it at your door the next day.
Regards, Henry

I can personally attest to the next day delivery; On numerous occasions I've gotten my supplies in under 24 hours. Not to mention Henry's prices kick the heck out of Island outfitters.

I was thinking the same thing. I make the trek up to WSS in Nanaimo once in a while to browse around; it's a nice drive, but my poor old campervan uses so much fuel and is going to strand me on the Malahat one day. A well run gun store with reasonable pricing in Victoria would be an instant hit. I'd do it, but I don't have the cash to get it started solo, and business partnerships usually don't work out.
