Who has my Tan 14.5 AR15

2000rd pre Astan work up. That's what I put thru it.. I built it, I owned it for 5 years, TV just #### talked it.

Uh huh, So is a primer gray muscle car. I just wasn't afraid to scratch mine, I shoot guns how they would be used overseas, or in real life. Not cry when I scratch them. I bet I could find some of your guns hideous.

If your not gonna direct me to who owns it. Then can the #### talk,

Thanks, I was battling PTSD, I sold most of my guns because I didn't feel like shooting anymore and fund my drinking problem, so I regret selling a lot when I got better.

Well now don't I feel like a sh!thead for my earlier joke. My apologies.

Thank you for your service, I hope you find that rifle.

I laugh at my buddies when they cry about scratches on their guns. Man the f**k up. I tend to be pretty hard on my guns. The lower hand guard on my Swiss looked like a dog chewed it up from resting on rocks and other unkind surfaces.

I too thank you for your service Robert, and am sorry for your loss, they will never be forgotten.

Oh, and I hope you manage to find your rifle :)

I hope so too. Willing to pay more then current owner bought it for, even though I know what TV press bought it for and I know HOW much he sold it for. Jeez I know I was issued a BNIB filled with grease C7A2 before tour, I turned it into QM The finish was worn off from the sand and looked like it was dragged thru a gravel pit in Astan. But such is life. That's the life of a TRUE Combat gun..

Glad to hear you are feeling better my friend.
It's gone Robert, let it go and build a new and improved model.
I usually find when I go after something from my past I am disappointed when I find it as it's never as good as I remembered.
To this end I have a LPK and I believe a MIAD grip that are yours if you decide to go the route of a new build.

Rob build a new one and call it therapy..... but no need for the #### talk guys are just having fun with you that is all

Im surprised tv sold it,he was pretty pumped when he got it!
Personally I like guns with some bumps and bruises it shows character and sets it apart from the other guns out there.

Hey Rob, you don't know me from Adam, so I take no pleasure in this.

Take a minute, say goodbye to the old smoke pole and use what you learned in the stan and apply it to building a new, better bang stick.

You said it yourself, these things are just tools. Time to build a newer, better one.

Alright, let 'er rip. :D

Oh I still got tools,

I kindof regret selling it now to be honest.

Robert, check your PMs?

Thanks

Rob was that krylon or good paint? I'm curious as I know how quickly krylon wears off of guns with regular use.

Krylon, Pretty fast..

Its been located.... Now I'm wondering, Should I buy it Back, Just to have.

Your hard earned $
Up too you if its worth it or not I think its one of the nicest ar's ive seen as long as it still shoots like it should id buy it back. Ive sold lots of guns then regretted it then bought them back and some ive bought back only to realized that after being away from home for sonlong it was really the same gun anymore.

Yeah decided to work on my belt fed. Been flip flopping on ideas, for my next one. Looking at the 4 ARs I had trying to find out what I did and did not like between them all...

I say buy it, take it for a range trip or two for old times sake then tear it down and rebuild it to symbolize a new life. A monument to where you've been and where you are now.

I like this idea. Kind of brings it all full circle, symbolic closure and renewal. Shoot the hell out of it if you decide to get it back! :canadaFlag::rockOn:

Happy to hear that you tracked it down Rob, now take a day to think about it and do whatever you think will make you the happiest.
That said, rebuilding it sounds like a hell of an idea!
Good luck.

I wanna hear more about this belt fed ;)

Owning an AR is like eating Lays potato chips. You can never just have one.
