I have read about some of the surplus 7.62x54r having cracked cases at the neck after firing..... Just curious to know if anyone has had that experience with this ammo.
With the surplus i got from SFRC with my my svt-40 (factory 10, silver tip, Bulgarian i believe) shooting from both my mosin nagant and svt-40, approx 5/100 rounds are cracked.
the Chinese surplus i got from tradeex i haven't seen one yet (but haven't shot as much of it).
I didn't notice any blow back from any of the rounds at the time, only noticed when cleaning up. Heres a picture of them, going from the worst on the left, to barely a crack on the right

Is there safety issues with cracking at the neck or shoulder ?
anyone ever get the Russian surplus ammo stuck in their SVT? Pain in the ass!
Just remember...the age of these EX MILITARY rifles...and how many thousands of rounds already fired
bound to be a little wear in the chambers ;-)
