Xcr, swiss arms or tavor whos got the best quality

Tavor = Israeli Defense Forces, in the desert, on the beaches, and on the 2 way range on an actual theatre of war by a fielded professional army.
Xcr = ???

I was in the same boat as you 2 weeks ago. I had it narrowed down to the XCR, Tavor, and the Swiss Arms. After reading about all the issues people have had with the XCR I decided I wasent goin to spend $2500 and possibly end up with a lemon. Ultimately my decision was made biased on what I plan to do with the rifle. If your in to percision shooting get the Swiss. If your more into shooting from a standing position, and shooting on the move go for the Tavor. I went for the Tavor because its more suited for my styl of shooting. Providing that the Swiss Arms dosent get banned I see one of those in my possession in the future.

Get yourself a nice bolt action... Hit far and sleep well... My 0.02... JP.

What, no MR1 endorsement? ;)

It's really simple. The Swiss Arms is out-of-contention until this mess gets solved. And honestly, there's no guarantee of compensation if the efforts to reverse the decision fails - so it's a $3,500 gamble. If you want a great, durable and reliable all-around gun - the Tavor is it. If you want something in a different calibre for hunting as well as plinking, get an XCR. If you don't care about restricted status, get an AR15.

As before:

Number of successful combat missions using a Tavor: 400+

Number of successful combat missions using an XCR: TBD

Nuff said :D

Thats a smart ass answer. Really the answer is: Hold both, see how they feel to you.

There are some people who feel squished shooting a Tavor. There are some people who feel like a construction crane when pointing an XCR.

We can tell you what was right for us, but we can't tell you what's right for you.

Things to try in the store:

1. pull the trigger

2. try a reload

3. work the charging handle

4. go from high/low ready to pointing

5. basic take down

6. over the beach test? ;)

No mention of a NR ACR? Im in the process of picking one up and out of all the San rifles, XCRs, Tavor and ACR I found the ACR to be the most comfortable/easy to wield, and most parts work/feel identical to the AR-15 which I love. But as they say. Try em all at the store and definitely try n get out and shoot them
