So I have lost the screw on the rear sight on my M93. I have called Marstar but they were not sure if they had the screw.

Does anyone know of anywhere else to get parts for these pistols? Or what size of screw would be a good fit to replace it?

As a side note I took this pistol out this weekend for the first time since I picked it up, and wow I was really impressed with the accuracy and performance of this cheap little plinker. Handled everything I put through it without issue, even stingers!

There's going to be lots of screws around that'll work. What you need is for some kind soul that has a M93 to take their screw out and check it for you for size and thread pitch.

Being a Colt copy it's possible that they kept the original thread size. But being Asian it'd about equally possible that it's metric. Either way it'll most likely be the special fine thread pitch so often seen on guns. The local hardware store screw likely won't fit. By all means try a #3 set screw to see if it does. Just don't force it if it goes in a couple of turns then stops. That's your sign that you need the metric equivalent instead. Or the finer thread series. The other hint is that it fits pretty sloppy for the first turn to turn and a half then snugs up. That's not the right size so don't force it at that point.

If you have a couple of gun shops and gun smiths around your area why not take off the slide and go around with it asking for a screw that fits? Once you get one that fits you can shorten it or re-shape the head as needed.

There is a place here in Ottawa called Ottawa Fasteners, they have just about every type of screw, bolt, nut etc... i have never not found what i needed. If you are not in a hurry send me your sight and i am sure i can help you out.

lmk you know my address :)

Thanks everyone for the tips. So I have a Kyocera machine screw in there right now. It still sticks up, but it holds it in place and isnt too bad looking. I may try facca when I get some time, but now that I have the rear sight secure I won't waste too much time on the little plinker. It works and that's all that matters to me for now!
