Looking for a sturdy belt for holster and mag pouches for range use, something a little better than a standard belt. What are you using and why you like it? Thanks

I bought a belt from:

CrossBreed Holsters the best belt I've ever owned and cheaper than most, reasonable shipping.

I believe it's guaranteed for life and I wear it daily

Wilderness Tactical Original Instructors Belt with 5 stitch upgrade.

I've got one too, but I'm finding it takes some getting used to as you thread it through your belt loops from the opposite direction of a conventional belt if you want to get the tail pointing the same direction. The down side is that if the belt is worn through belt loops, you have to take the belt out of all the belt loops to remove your holster. If it is just worn as a pistol belt, there's no issue.

Wilderness type belts are great for carry purposes, but blow for range use. Constant threading and unthreading of your gear gets boring pretty quick, and annoying too. Since the OP has stated he wants it for range use, I'd still say the ISPC style belts are the way to go, much more convenient, and easier to use.

I get nice custom made heavy leather (bull hide) belts from Zelikovitch in Ottawa, around $32 retail. I have one for work and one for IDPA and love 'em as they form to fit you after several days wear. Very comfortable and functional. Buckles can be easily changed.
