Found a link to 4scopes. Com. On another thread. They have great prices IMHO and it says they ship worldwide. Almost seems too good to be true, but would like to hear of any info regarding them if anyone has bought from them. I'm almost skeptical just on the "if it sound too good, it probably is" rule :). Thanks in advance

I talked to them and ordered a scope within the last week. Shipping to Canada is $35 and you can choose Fedex Express or USPS. Fedex should be faster and the Express service means no brokerage fee, although you will likely have to pay the taxes as everything is on the up-and-up. USPS may take a little longer, but you are throwing the dice on paying the taxes plus a $10 collection fee, or nothing at all.

Also, they have more than one warehouse, but they only ship out of one (Oregon, I think) so if what you want has to be transferred to the shipping warehouse, it'll add an extra week to the shipping time. So 2-3 weeks, instead of 1-2.

I haven't received my scope yet, so I can't comment on the end-to-end service.

They work well.
I got lucky on one scope with no extra fees.
The Zeiss got tagged.
Joel is good to deal with.
Not all scopes he sends up here.
Something to do with the sniper reticles.

DO NOT get UPS as a sender buy help you gawd.

I used them last year without difficulty. Only downer is you have to send optics back across the border for warranty.

More than $150 on a $1000 scope. I'm not sure I'd do it again. I'm a little unsure of the legality of what they do. My import paperwork said nothing about rifle scopes. In fact, it stated binoculars as the item being shipped.

I have bought 3 scopes off them. two 8-32 x 56 sightrons and a 2-7 sightron. They arrived on my step in TWO days exactly as promised. They are a steller seller. Excuse the rhyme.

Update: My scope showed up yesterday with no charges outstanding. So that's under 2 weeks for a scope from a warehouse that doesn't ship internationally. $350 for a scope that would have been $500 here. I'm all for supporting the locals, but I have better things to do with $150 than lining other peoples pockets.

Update 2, July 29: FedEx invoice came in for 6% duty, 5% GST, and $10 'Advancement Fee'. There goes $48 of my $150 savings. Still not terrible.

My scope arrived yesterday. Duties amounted to 13%, scope is beautiful (though I would like to know how to confirm a Sightron is legit), and thank god I got high rings (love those Burris) or this thing would not fit. Eye relief is sooooo much better then the old scope. Seems nice and bright.

Just be aware that illegally imported scopes may not receive any domestic warranty support as we have no way to export and reimport a product that shouldn't be here in the first place.

The importation laws for scopes are pretty clear on what is possible. Grey areas do not cut it with the US govt. They have no sense of humor.

YMMV.

Yessir, you are most definitely right (also, thank you, the promag 35 round 10/22 mags arrived AOK. Didn't know the lip height is that much different from the Butler Creek). Years ago I ordered scope with mildot reticle from the USA and I got an empty box covered in green logo'd DHS tape. I decided to keep the tape and frame it, though I'm trying to figure out how I can employ it as a prank against a buddy or something :) Despite being happy with the 4scopes.com service, I think I'll stick to a Canadian next time. The premium is not that much worse, and 'd rather support a local on this side of the drone targeting line, lol
