How to deal with empty cases if you don't wanna reloading?

Either save them and give them to a reloader if cases are reloadable, sell them to a fellow gun enthusiast or clean them up and trash them. I save my more costly brass and worthy reload brass and trash the rest by shoveling them up when I'm done and tossing them in a metal bin at work. If you don't have access to a metal bin I'm sure something else can be figured out.

Maybe you can work a deal with a re-loader in trade for reloaded ammo! That could be a good arrangement for both you and the re-loader :)

Steel case (picked up by a magnet)= metal recycle bin at work or garbage-----> have some nice steel ones that look like nickle plated but are steel

PMC

And several others that are boxer primes (one primer hole)
save sort and sell trade or give away to a reloader

Can you reload old surplus cases ? I heard you cant.

Steel and aluminum and the occasional nickle and whatnot are not really worth it from what I hear, they resist resizing or something.

Also, some old milsurp ammo has Berdan primers, which has multiple flash holes or weirdly shaped flash holes. Boxer primers are the "normal" ones, with the single flash hole, that almost everyone uses these days. To reload Berdan primers you need a different type of decapping die, or I've heard you can sometimes drill out the flash hole to convert it to Boxer style. Or so I've heard, never had reason to try it myself.
I think in most cases it's only worth it for rare and/or valuable cases.

I would say, throw the cases in a bucket. Someone will use them, maybe you can recoup the costs of the ammo, or trade for reloaded ammo.

hmm.... they are all factory made, first time used cartridges (.357 Mag and .38 Spl). After read the responses, probably the best way is keeping them at this moment, maybe I can sell it to some reloading guys some day.
Actually if someone want to buy them, the cases are free to collect at the range - all of calibers. including S&W 50 Mag

Save it all!! If you don't want to reload someone else may be able to use it, OR, the last time I got rid of scrap brass it was worth 1.37 a pound. A hundred pounds of berdan primed and garbage brass was worth 137.00. Now brass is around 2.00 a pound...

I would never get rid of them ... you never know S might HTF

Same with tinfoil ... might need hats for friends and family ;D !
