Hey guys,

I got the Magpul 870 stock and forend on my shotty and I have to say that I just love it. I love SKS's as they come, but I'm not against after market stocks. I have to admit that I love the magpul's ergos and thought this up last night.

I would love a Magpul style SKS stock...

I did this fast at work with Paint, but maybe you can get an idea! :p

Something along these lines...

If you're gonna stick plastic to it, you might as well go all in.

Thanks. Some people dont like changing milsurps, but this rifle is a cheap semi that most people can afford and after market stocks for the sks are plentyful, some people are buying. I just thought this would be neat and I for one would buy a second sks to pimp out.

Hey, changing a stock and mag doesn't butcher anything, it goes right back to stock in no time! I've done it myself on two chinese military sks's.

The SKS doesn't seem like a market magpul would get into, at least not before releasing some AK koolaid. That being said I think they could do some sweet things with it.

it the market i may go, i have some good things to finish to draw and test after, here in Canada the market of sks is big they are very popular ,

I know exactly how popular the SKS is in Canada, I don't see Magpul tapping into such a small market. Canada is a small part of their consumer base and the SKS is a smaller market than the AR by far. They also need to keep a low price point to compete with Tapco, Promag and ATI. These businesses are normally not competitors to Magpul. SKS's are a tiny market in the US, trumped by the AK and buried by the AR. Making a product at a Tapco price point that sells enough to be worthwhile... tough

Yeah that very true, but Magpul has a brand name and reputation. Even if its a little more expensive, people would still buy it over Tapco I beleive. Tapcos and ATIs are going for like 100$-120$. At 150$-175$, Im sure a lot of peoplw would buy it. That being said, the market is very small, you're right. If Tapco and Archanchel stocks are still being made and selling, Im sure they would still make a profit. But true, they would do AK first. Mayne one day!? :)
