If you guys had to choose between a Colt MODEL 'O' SERIES 1991 COMMANDER and a Kimber Custom Crimson Carry II, and they were both the same price, what would you choose and why?
 
Its definitely a classic. Just kinda wanted something dressed up and the Kimber with the laser grips is pretty cool.. but it doesn't say Colt on it..

People dont buy colts for blingy lazers their a classic timeless work of art if you want lazers and rails and stuff look into things like the springfield and sig 1911's their better then the kimber and way more tactical looking.
 
I was looking at a sig 1911 but having bought a p220 super match and a p229 elite this week I figured the germans got enough of my money lol....Oh and a USP 45 stainless is in the mail too lol.
 
ok now the question is:

Colt MODEL 'O' SERIES XSE RAIL GUN (very good) $1175
Colt MODEL 'O' SERIES 1991 COMBAT (new) $1300
Colt MODEL 'O' SERIES 1991 COMMANDER (new) $1220
Colt MODEL'O' XSE GOVERNMENT (Excellent) $1120

Doesn't matter to me if the barrel is 4.25 or 5" but I know nothing about Colts except for that I always wanted one. Thoughts?
 
I'll take a Kimber over a Colt any day. Had 2 Colt 1911 .45s and my Kimber is a way nicer gun all around. Colts aren't the quality they used to be. Many 1911 clones are superior in finish and function. Only reason to buy a Colt is if you are a history buff. Had a Python too and I like my Ruger GP100 better than the Colt.

Better in what way? I shoot my stx no better than my gold match or my eclipse.. Or my new tactical hd custom ii.
They're all good guns. Sorry, bro. Cant understand the unnecessary hate on kimber where people think they are inferior.

Anyways; the crimson looks tacky(cant stand the laser grips). Look into some of the other kimbers. :)
 
but it has freakin lasers! I actually like to try that as I've never had anything laser related in a pistol...Ugh. Colt is like buying a really nice bugatti with no power windows and kimber is like a mercedes fully loaded lol
