Madness you somehow believe that you have some anonymity due to your posting on an internet forum. That you can be butt hurtful as you refer to and that that is totally ok. That you can be as offensive as you like because it is on a forum. However in a few weeks you will be graciously accepting our hospitality.

What burns my ass is that I probably will be extending it to you. Chris and Serge will probably ask me to donate food and prepare it, for the reception at sal####er lounge. I will do so as they have done so much and I have done so little. So enjoy the wings Madness they will be good.

Yup, we tend to do it weeks if not months before we arrive. So it would be nice to know if we need to get an extra one.

You're unbelievable. I've only been involved with IPSC for about 2 years, and everyone I have met so far has been decent. This is the first time I've seen anyone with such an aggressive, obnoxious and nasty outlook. Who hurt you? Did someone kick your dog? Why can't you be more civil and stop categorizing everyone who doesn't agree with your attitude as being "butt-hurt"? If you think it's going to be a crap match, don't go.

You don't need a range in Essex County to be MD. That's total BS and a cop-out. You can be MD of any match, if you have the guts to match your proclamations of expert knowledge. If you've never actually organized a nationals, you're in no position to take cheap shots at the people working their butts off to produce one.

I say Put Up Or Shut Up.

Also, if you have concerns about the match, why don't you pick up the phone and call them instead of whining about everything here?

I'm pretty sure everyone knows who I am, so I don't know where you are getting the idea that I'm hiding behind my ipsc alias. Not because it's a forum but because I live in a somewhat free country that allows for open expression of thoughts and ideas regardless of if the are popular or not. I know I'm going to be there, I booked everything. How offensive someone perceives my comments to be is out of my control since some people are more sensitive then others. I would expect to be shown the same hospitality as any other shooter, no more no less. Wouldn't look good on the match staff to do otherwise.

Well since I don't feel like quitting my job to put on a match in another province as was offered and the closest range that I would want to use your for a national als is 6 hours away I kind of do. What does my dog have to do with me not bowing down to your idea that we should just be happy that their is a match regardless of the quality? If the answer was posted here it would reach a greater audience wouldn't it? I've been the md at a multiple clubs for multiple matches but you want me to do the nats, different story.
 
There are no match staff they do not exist. The definition of staff is

1.All the people employed by a particular organization: "a staff of 600".

None of us are employed by IPSC. You should be saying that I expect to be shown the same hospitality as any other shooter, no more no less. Wouldnt look good on the people who gave their time, money, and energy for my leisure activity, to do otherwise.
 
I don't categorize people who don't agree with me as having g Internet butt hurt, just those who cry about me not thinking and acting the way they feel I should, if everyone always agreed things would be pretty boring and there would be no progress

You keep whining that you would show us how it is done if only someone built me a range. Well nobody built a range for Serge and Chris. They built it, and they got us to build it. Build it and they will come. And they are coming in a few weeks.

So build a range show us how its done. You build it and we will come. Perhaps we lay on some butt hurt before the journey, but we will come.

btw I am car pooling with tweetyj trevorf and maurice so please make sure that everything lines up with our schedules 3 weeks in advance.

Right, land is so cheap right now I'll get right on that. Smarten up. So typical can't handle it when a flaw in a plan is pointed out so you make assine comments rather then learn. Where do I keep whining g about how I will show show you how it's done? One post I said I'd love to have a facility where I could prove to the naysayers that dedicated staff, oops sorry, works. All the crying is coming from other locations. I'm not the only one saying full time ro's are better but if I have to be the poster child for it so be it. If the shooters don't have to work its rather simple to keep you on the same squad or at least the same shooting schedule if your apps are sent in a timely fashion. But let's not bring that up, seems to piss people off around here.

All I'm doing is staying logical points, with a pinch of smart-assery , that others are getting emotional about rather then taking a subjective look at the situation

And for the guy complaining about the lack of cell coverage. Chris and Serge tried to rectify that. I was back at the range with the bell aliant guy to see about installing a tower back there. Turns out that a cell tower is very very expensive, who would have thought, but at least they tried. We have asked one of RCMP to keep his cruiser on site. They can call for help anywhere. Also due to our extensive range expansion we have good cellular coverage in a large portion of our range.

So if you are doing mission critical work for acronyms of some sort we got you covered. If you fall and hurt yourself we should be able to handle that to.

If you need to update your facebook status with video of your hatcam, well it should be possible. Have a good shoot everybody. I look forward to seeing you here even Madness, euxx, and ibjeepn. Especially his phone. It should have a fleshlight app for the price that he paid, I got to check that out.

It is not a Nationals its an education.

Not only a tower issue, if the network isn't on par with the rest of the country people's phones won't work at all. Which happened before. I funny how know one can be critical of the match but you can belittle someone's career. Pot meet kettle, kettle meet pot

The other thread could be called; "Mike, Eugene and cell phone guy's schedule and cell phone coverage thread". <- Please note I am writing this with the most humor and try and lighten the thread a bit....with NON-butthurt.

While I am not Rob, I understand the logistics as well as most. If you post a request anywhere on CGN for information on scheduling there is no chance that that Chris or Serge will actually see your request. They are just not on here. You have to call them with a telephone or write an email. I posted where to find their contact info earlier. I talked to Chris K by phone for my concern with scheduling. He took my call on the second ring and he assured me that he was working on it right now. That he was aware of my situation and if it is possible that he would accommodate me.

But even if he can not accommodate my schedule. I strapped on my big boy pants today. If I had to miss some of the match due to my obligations then that would be that.

However I have faith in Chris K and Serge that they will do everything that they can so everyone can enjoy a (insert adjective here that Madness will take issue with) Canadian nationals.
