How do you like your marauder so far?
took me another glance heh.
Also what is it with (what appears to be) crayon on the bottom pic on the left side, just obove the magwell?!
The Marauder is fun, cheap, easy to install. My friend did the initial installation for me, but since then, I’ve stripped the thing down and it was pretty straight forward to put it back together again. It’s heavy, a lot heavier than you’d think for a .22 rifle. It feels durable, like you can really toss it around and abuse the hell out of it without worrying too much.
The ergonomics feel good surprisingly. I’ve been spoiled with an adjustable length of pull with my AR and the C7, but the Marauder just happens to be the right length for me. There’s practically no recoil when you shoot it, and it’s shooting pretty accurately supported. I did a rapid mag dump of 25 rounds from an unsupported position, 10 meters away and was able to get a hand size grouping, I dunno, is that considered decent? With the full archangel magazine shell on the mag itself, it doesn’t seat properly and will release if you tilt the mag forward and yank on it (without even touching the mag release). If you use the bare mag itself (without the fake 5.56 cover), there are no issues.
If you want to detail clean your 10/22 underneath, it’s a pain in the #### because you have to take off the stock to get to your 10/22, which entails a number of really long screws…..my solution, hose down the parts you can touch with CLP or G36, wipe it down, then run a bore snake through it a few times, and maybe pull the whole thing apart once a month or so to do a detailed cleaning.
I got a hammer/sear kit for it, put it all together, then realized I forgot to lube the moving parts and had to take it all apart again….PAIN IN THE D-I-C-K.
And that mess on the Norc CQ-A? Haha, that was a face tattoo I stuck on in my feeble attemps to cover up the Norc Logo......epic fail is an understatement.
