10/22 takedown w/ threaded barrel?

Nobody, as far as I know... I've been calling and hunting for a regular 10/22 with a flash suppressor, but apparently nobody's bringing then in due to export restrictions. The US government won't allow the export of firearms with attached flash suppressors. Your only option would be to find a vendor in the US that'll export one to you directly by removing the flash suppressor and replacing it with a thread protector. Try Jason at IRUNGUNS.

That's odd. The sr-22 comes threaded, the mark II FVSR, and trr-sr come threaded.

True, and I'm happy to be wrong, but that's what I was told by Elwood Epps and three of the local gun stores in the GVRD... I wanted the Tactical with the threaded barrel, and they told me no-go, they'd only be carrying the VLEH (non-threaded bull barrel). Same on the Takedown with the threaded barrel. I was also looking at a Distributor Exclusive (SS, threaded 16" barrel, and synthetic stock), and was told that model would not be coming to Canada due to the attached flash suppressor, and that the only way I could get one would be for an exporter to remove the flash suppressor and install a thread protector (or some kind of nut) in its place (although the distributor doesn't ship up here anyway).

What that means for the SR-22, FVSR, or TRR-SR, I don't know... Maybe it's a recent thing, or maybe there's some other way around it. I hope I'm wrong, but that's just what I've heard in the last couple weeks on the subject.

you guys are talking 2 different things there.
flash suppressor and threaded barrel.
as far as i know threaded barrels are ok to export from the US, but flash suppressors are not.
hence the ruger scout did not have the suppressors on them when they first started shipping them to canada.

its totally a US export thing (BAFTA or whatever its called)
cause you can buy threaded barrels and flash suppressors here in canada with no problems at all.

Yeah, I guess I kind of jumped the gun on the flash suppressor bit there, but I brought it up since the only models that Ruger seems to sell with a threaded barrel have the flash suppressor. Given that the flash suppressor can't be exported up here, I doubt they'd ship the models with the threaded barrels up here either, with the caveat that you might be able to get one shipped here if it had a thread protector installed instead of the flash suppressor, but the exporter would probably have to organize that.

But I think I'm starting to repeat myself... :p

I just bought a Ruger Take -Down with threaded barrel and flash suppressor from Profit river firearms just 2 weeks ago .............it's got the shorter 16.5 in barrel and I love it!!!!!!!!

Does the sr-22 threaded version not arrive in Canada with the a2 "birdcage" flash hider already installed?

ya i think there was some confusion a couple years ago about flash hiders and such.
cause i know you never use to be able to get them in canada (exported from the states)
but now you can.
i think even the new Ruger Scouts come with them on and you never use to be able too.

but threaded barrels you can definitely get with no problem.
ive got a couple pistols and rifles that have them on there that came stock like that with no problem.
