Should i get the short version like this or the 6 inch version?

I prefer the looks of the 6 inch version, and I believe it gets more velocity and easier target aim?

I bought one of the new 4.2" 686's, and it's worth every penny. I love this wheelgun.

I would not suggest the 7 round in case you ever want to shoot Revolver in competition. Also limits resale customers for the same reason.

Buy used. I bought a 586-3 for $600 and I couldn't be happier with it. Also, Get the six inch version. It's a pleasure to shoot.

I bought it at a local store, so I got to try it out a bit. This is my first used gun. I was hesitant, but the lower sticker price attracted me. I was after a new 686, but I liked this one more.

Shot a buddies this week and it was great. a lovely gun with a nice manageable recoil, very accurate
