I am in the process on getting this gun so I started looking for holsters.
Looks like it's going to be a hard task.
Hopefully I can get a few CGN'ers with more experience in this part.
Thanks!

Since I only received mine about a week ago my experience with it has been limited, BUT so far I'm VERY happy with my Raven Concealment holster & moduloader kit. I had no use for IWB system so I went with a OWB, but I'm sure the IWB are just as good.

If you choose the Quick-Ship option you'll get it in 7-10 days.

I will do check on Raven, I guess google will take me in their direction? or this will require PM'ing one of you guys?
thanks

I have been running with the Comp-Tac International kydex holster, and it has been working very well. It is one of the few that I have found that is custom molded to the P30L. Also, Comp-Tac ships to Canada.

The comp-tac looks very good, specially the Paddle version, similar to the one I had in my MP9 KIT. It also looks smaller than the RAVEN version, since it is molded to the gun and has no extra material around the gun (which I find weird, perhaps someone can illuminate me on why this is a good idea?).

The extra material on a Raven acts to stabilize the gun and break up its outline (not a huge deal unless you can carry) it also serves to spread the weight which avoids sore spots - Raven holsters are designed to be wearable 24/7. Solely Canadian holsters are of the same general type - both Raven and SK are Kydex pancake style holsters and are tightly molded to the gun - retention is provided by the molding around the trigger guard.

Be sure to select the quick-ship products (bottom section of the items menu) if not, the lead time is absolutely....insane. Options are a tad limited on the Quick-ship products, but certainly not a deal breaker IMO.

Once the pistol is in, it' in. There's no way you can sake it look. My fullsize HK45 locks in nice and tight (but no to tight that you give yourself a wedgie when taking your pistol out).

+1 for comp-tac or blade-tech, also FWIW the Safariland 586-83 holsters fit and are quite affordable. Raven is Gucci overkilll, there I said it.

What's Gucci about a black Kydex holster that will run you $79.

You're getting "gucci" mixed up with "flashy" and "sparkly", which Raven holsters certainly aren't that.

If you were saying this merely based on price, I've seen some expensive Safariland holsters out there too. It should be about that you need and not what's the cheapest out there. If that was the case, we wouldn't be part of this hobby would we.

I am between the com-tac paddle and the raven.
IMHO the comp-tac looks better and less bulkier than the raven and seems to have a faster draw. Since I am not CCW either IWB or OWB I think comp-tac is the one for me.
It will be used for IDPA.

What do you guys think?

I have a Comp-Tac kydex belt holster and their 4 magazine Beltfeed system for a HK45. Everything appears to be well built and the holster fits the gun well, plus it sits far enough off my waist allowing a good grip and an easy-fast draw. I'd buy from them again.

thanks for the info.
Do you find it's hard on the gun finish?

I've used my Comp-Tac with my P30L for a few months now and after several hundred draws, I don't notice any affect on the pistol's finish. I expect that, in time, there will be wear, but that will be the case regardless of the holster. Another good point for the Comp-Tac over some others out there is that it can be ordered specific to the P30L. That is, it's not a generic one size fits all type holster.

Hey if you *need* a hyped-up concealed carry holster, be my guest. Raven's marketing is based on celebrities using their stuff = fashion = Gucci = luxury. Great to see that they have become more affordable and have decent turn around time, but I believe there are better choices for sport shooters (i.e. 99.9% of the people on this forum).

I've been running a Comp-tac for 2.5 years in IDPA/IPSC, there is a fair bit of wear on my p30L but that is from lots of draws & handling.
