Love mine, only problem is when you have multiples, that thing gets hot as ?!#*. I don't have that nice sightron for mine though.

The interwebz says if you shoot all that factory ammo, half your barrel life will be gone. This of course hasn't been the case with the 257's I've owned, but the interwebz does say so!

If this is the case, i will reach out to this nice Cooper Jackson Hunter in red syntetic in 257 Wty, there always a solution to any problem... JP.

Was out today for a little trip at the range to try my 257, no surprises at all, after zeroing, those 87 and 100 gr were grouping .75 MOA of the bat, only shot 25 rounds... What really amazed me a lot is how moderate the recoil is, incredible for such a big round, i think coyotes and marmots are in trouble in my part of land... JP.

I really never care much for fur, but more all those turkey nest i save in the spring, since i do lower the coyotes population around my turkey hunting grounds, i have to admit turkey hunting never being so good since i got rid of many coyotes, i will jut get them out real far this winter and with a Sightron 10X50X60 LRMOA they dont stand a chance of not being seen... JP.

Definitly not the scope I would go with that rig. The Sightron 10-50 is a superb scope, but not in that application. I've shot yotes at 7 yards, 10x is a bit much for when they come in close and 50x will never be used in the field as it's really only useful with a very solid rest front and back. Oh well, have fun out there!

Like it, nice choice JP. Mine wears a 3.5-10 for deer hunting but around these parts I'd go to at least 6x minimum for coyotes since shots can be pretty long. The cheap 100gr ammo is all I bother with, I still have 4 boxes of it to shoot (I thought it wasn't going to last long at that price). Hope the turkeys appreciate your purchase as well (some of them, anyways)!

They do, all together, got my 2 gobblers this spring with a 20( ist day) an 45 (second day) minutes hunt, it was a very easy 2013 Spring hunt... JP.
