She was turned out in July 1944, and is one of the James River Armory restorations. Pretty amazing really, handling it as it would appear in 1944. They get some nice wood too, James River, the simple grain is for whatever reason quite beautiful. Boyds I presume.

Took this on trade, and the owner rightfully decided he'd like to buy it back if I was willing. Will be sorry to see it go myself frankly but I've been in that position before as well, just have to appreciate the beauty of it. Thought I'd share here.

I still have my Krieger barrelled .308 Garand, my favourite rifle to shoot lately, been using it on the 1,000 yard range I write about.

Gotta love a Garand. I love my M14s but there's something about the uninterrupted clean lines of a Garand, no mag hanging down, smoother gas cylinder lines, that just looks and feels right to me.
