We all know Cooeys are tough reliable and fun as hell. But how accurate are they? I have a 39 and a 64 ,I love both guns and hope they will be passed down when I'm gone, but all bias aside how tight a group can they shoot at 50 yards?

Well... That depends in which model. I have 39, eatonia, and a 600. Did have mod 75. Least to say 75 was with Williams sight got 1.5" at 50, 600 has a 4 power scope and I get 1-1.25" . 39 not so much maybe cause shorter barrel or the sight... Tough to say. Also depends... Every gun is different and likes different ammo. I shoot bulk 525 federal and CCI.

At 25 yards every Cooey I`ve shot ( I collect them) will put all rounds .50 - .75 inch. Thats from bench and sand bag and open sights.

I had an old model 75 that got a side mount fitted to accept a Weaver B4 rimfire scope.
With the CIL "Super-Clean" standard velocity ammo, that rifle shot about ½" at 50 yards consistently.
I remember sending a large number of Columbian Ground Squirrels to their demise with that old Cooey.
I traded it off after several years, but would love to have it now for nostalgia's sake.
Regards, Eagleye.

I have a scoped 39 Cooey, had it for over 50 yrs, it will still shoot a ruffed grouse in the head at 30 yards. They were wonderful barrels for the price. Jim
