Thureon Defence ####

your rear sight is on backwards
I just picked up a used one in 45 ACP. Ran 150 rounds through it yesterday afternoon for the first time. 100 x 230gr lead RN, 25x 230gr lead FP and 25x 200gr lead SWC. I installed a cheap set of knock-off Troy sights just to get playing.

I've had a 9mm Sub2000 before and have held and tested the JR carbine in both 9mm and 45ACP. the fit and finish and quality of the Thureon is far superior than the JR, it just feels like a quality bit of kit in your hands. I can't wait to dress her up a bit with some new furniture. I think I'll go the tan/black route as well.

Ignore my dog. Lol

your rear sight is on backwards

Umm, no it's isn't. Perhaps your is. :)

I'm still playing with this, it really likes the 200gr SWC bullets I cast, I'd like to try some 185gr pills next. I had a 4x banner on it for some range time and just switched over to a Bushnell T-dot ACOG clone. The height is right to co-witness with my backwards magpul Buis. I've now run 600 rounds through it without a single hiccup.

100m target. This was very interesting, the poi was at the same elevation at 100m as it is at 25m. My grouping at 100m was about 4.5" and 3.5" to the right but centred vertically. Not bad at all for a red dot sight at that distance. I honestly expected a holdover would be required at that distance from the lethargic 45acp.

Hard to believe a pistol calibre carbine could be so accurate eh. I ran another 300 rounds through my 9mm and it ran perfect. My only complaint is no last shot bolt hold open. But I can live with it. Im more partial to the Glock 17 mags VS the 33round extended glock mags. But the extended ones are easier to load by hand.

I was at the range yesterday and had my first failure, the firing pin broke. I was under the false impression they used standard AR15 pins, they look the same but are a bit shorter. I called Thureon to see what was involved with getting a new one. The lady on the phone asked for my mailing address and said she would pop a few in the mail today free of charge. I'm not even the original owner, now that's customer service!

Sorry to hear about the failure, I'm glad Thureon will take care of it, they are one of the best companies to deal with for warranty issues.

Andrew.

25 yards and 100yards are often close due to the arc of the bullet rising up through 25 yards and then dropping down again around 100yards.

Good support by TD with the firing pin. They did have some issues with some of their pins but I believe it's been corrected.

Mine in 10mm is a sub 4 inch MOA of the bench with my handload Hornady 180 gr XTP @ 1650+ fps, the Thueron is such a good rifle... JP.

They just shipped mine, 9mm GA will be here next week from wolverine, took 9 months for some reason, has the round barrel, not sure but I think the stock is pinned

Can't wait till next weekend.
