M14 Ballerina

What's the point of learning how to spin a rifle? It seems to be particularly big in southern states that I have visited. They have like little girls and school competitions spinning rifles (albeit just dummy rifles)... but apparantly it's a whole thing.

Not that there's anything wrong with spinning a rifle... it just seems like a weird thing to practice to perfection.

Its drill and its damned difficult.
The military has lost too many traditions to "modern thinking".
Its not my thing but I admire those who can do it.
 
Ceremony guns can be made of rubber and have no internals. You're left with something only a few pounds in weight.
 
"...doesn't add up to me..." It's called training and practice with a modified rifle. Look up the US 3rd Infantry on you tube and watch the pros. Note the stocks are modified at the grip.
"...What's the point..." It called the Manual of Arms. The facxt there is a toy rifle in a school, Stateside, is miracle enough.

Would be a hard sell with almost anyone issued an AR these days, there's enough crap to carry let alone a 9lb rifle and godawfully heavy ammunition (and less of it). In modern combat it doesn't make much sense outside a designated markman's rifle, and I say that as a big fan of the M14.

Whatever you think of it, the man in the video has talent.
 
that boys got talent man. if I attempted that id have a dent in the floor, ceiling, sore feet head and broken fingers.. who cares if its been gutted to make it a bit lighter. pull the bolt and op rod out of your rifle and see how much lighter it is
 
I will never understand this. Skill - yes, hard work and talent -no argument.

But, BUT, this is A WEAPON. Moreover - this is a SOLDIER. He is not a clown to amuse people. He should never strive for that. A well trained real warrior is proficient with weapon which is more than a device to kill people, its a core of a fighter spirit.

A clown on the other hand is an entertainer and is proficient with juggling and tricks to wow an audience, this lovely crowd of useless fat slobs who need an entertainment between shopping sessions and consuming double deep fried sht on a stick.

That s a m14 replica without all the heavy steel parts. And it cannot be fired as they r built for this purpose only.
 
ive look to marine dooing the ghost drill and they had real m14 , the only time something change was for the parade of obhama second term , no bolt, M14 without bolt is like.......

The guy who are dooing this only do this.. try it with you're own gun
