UOTE=Chaput;8928455]Can you get them in Canada ?[/QUOTE]

A few sponsors carry them, their worth the money.

I think Arms East is the Canadian distributer.

Edit: I've also heard good things about these if your just looking to lighten the pull. Not sure how good they would work tho with some of the harder primered surplus ammo tho.

I installed a Geissele S3G in my rifle and used the heavier spring that is supplied. I don't have much experience with the AR trigger but do know good triggers as both my 1911 and SIG P-210 are super.

As always, so much depends on application skills and expectations. My bet is that there are perfectly acceptable triggers at less cost but if you want the "best" Geissele and others in that tier can't be faulted.

If you don't want to spend the big bucks for a drop in trigger, simply get the JP Ent. competition/reduced power spring pack as recommended above. I haven't had any problems with reliability with all types of ammo and I reload with CCI (hard) primers.

I have one,

IMHO they are a real bargain, half (or less) the cost of the Geissele triggers mentioned....

I prefer Timney triggers on my bolt guns, so I was a bit biased when choosing one for my AR..... no regrets

Not quite half, they are 219$, Geissele depending on model is as high as 319$. So you save 100$.

Also the Timney trigger is a single stage were as the Geissele is a two stage trigger.

Also the Timney is designed for 3-4 pounds pull. The Geissele High Speed National Match ( Match ) is designed for 1.9-3.4 pounds pull.

Where can you order those springs ?

The Geissele S3G Three Gun is a single stage unit. It comes with two springs. I installed the heavier one which is just fine to me. Pull weight is just one factor of course. The S3G is extremely smooth and consistent. I up graded my lower because I know I was going to build a 22 upper for that AR. So now I have a fine trigger on two almost identical rifles. The trouble with buying products at this level is that they become the standard and when you pick up an "ordinary" gun the difference is noticeable. If I ever decided to buy another AR, I would have the option of returning my current gun to stock and just move the Geissele to the new one.

I have a Timney 3lb drop in trigger assembly in one of my AR's, which as mentioned above is a single stage trigger. I have Rock River Arms two stage match trigger group in my other AR.

The Timney offers a fairly light, crisp, consistent 'break'. I like the way the trigger assembly replaces all of the stock trigger parts, except for the two pins. The way the trigger installs prevents the stock pins from rotating in the receiver holes, which is known to cause wear on the pin holes of a gun that is shot a lot.
For the money I think the Timney is a tough deal to beat.

The RRA two stage match trigger also offers a nice light 'take up', then a crisp, clean break. For the money, this trigger kit offers a vast improvement over the stock trigger. If you are on budget and want an inexpensive trigger upgrade, I'd highly recommend considering this.

I have not shot, or pulled the trigger on a Geissele trigger, but I have heard all sorts of positive comments on the triggers they offer. The Geissele triggers are high end, premium triggers, basically you get what you pay for! If you've got a fair bit of $$ in your budget, I don't think anyone would be disappointed in any of the Geissele triggers.

Let's face it, the stock trigger 'suck's for long range accurate shooting, or improve rapid fire accuracy.

I recently changed out the trigger in one of LE6920 lowers to a Geissele SSA and WOW what a difference. Liked it so much I ordered another one for my other AR. Easy to install and you won't regret buying it. Bought the first one from Lanz but found that Arms East is a few bucks cheaper so bought the second one from there.

I paid $129 plus tax and shipping for mine......

At $219, I would have probably spent the extra $$ for the geissele!

Must've been some time ago you bought yours cause Mystic precision is the cheapest I found @ 215$ when I was looking for a trigger for my current AR project. I just ordered a Geissele High Speed National Match ( Match ) trigger for my current build. A lot of positive comments out there on the Geissele triggers compared to others. The install seems like it could be a bit more of a pain than the Timney though.

For a single stage upgrade (and keeping cost down) over a stock trigger I'd go with either a Spikes Battle Trigger or ALG Combat...they're both very nice. However, neither is a Geissele (though the ALG is "tuned" by Geissele). I believe both can be found at Canadian Tactical Cowboys (site sponsor) or Arms East for the ALG (I think...since they have Geissele). You can probably get the Spikes one through Questar also as a special order.
