I've been running this stuff in M305 platforms for years.
Always thought it was terrible ammunition but I'm extremely picky.
Groupings were generally poor (3" - 5" five round groupings were pretty standard) from scopes M14 platforms.

So I was testing a new AI mag and decided to shoot some crappy ammo out of it just to test for function.
ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?

well, it could be that your rem 700 just might like that ammo, and your norc m305s might not. Depends on how bad your ####ty groupings are with the m14. Maybe the ammo isnt as bad as you thought.

I've probably owned 6 different norinco M14S rifles since they first started trickling into Canuckistan. Pretty much all of them were shimmed or unitized gas systems, match op rod guides and some of them were properly bedded. None of them shot Norinco ammo particularly well. Having said that I never really got any ammo to shoot really good out of these rifles.

Better buy another case... I hear CanAm & Trade Ex have good deals right now...

My M14 loves this stuff!

I was trying some of the ammo from Tradex, shooting it through my AIA No4MkIV and was getting some good groups. I was walking them in and was getting close to 1" @ 100m, unfortunately I should have put up a new target and tried harder to
see what this ammo could do. I was surprised as I thought with all the neg about Norinco it was just going to be plinker ammo..

There are some nice shooters out there eh.
Not saying they are nail drivers, but don't think for one minute that these guns are capable of no better than 2or3 inches at 100.
A lot of pple are using ammo and "Norinco" to cover the fact they couldn't shoot the s#$t in a bar :)
Try harder pple :)

I woke up cranky from my old fart nap and my diapers wet I think.

Besides Jay, anyone elses M14 shoot the Norinco 7.62 decently? I just bought an M14 and a case of ammo. I'm hoping it groups half decently.

My full length Poly likes it, my shorty Norc not so much. Both are shimmed / upgraded oprods / Garand rear sights. I've shot 500 rounds between the 2 rifles, and overall it was alright. I only say alright because for the first time both rifles had FTF problems. Swap out the ammo and they both behave like they should.

I'm tempted to get another crate of it and tumble the ammo clean before using it...

And I just bought another 1000 round case from CanAm with a pricematch, came out to 377 delivered!!! Ya baby, my M14 is happy happy happy!
