colt vs kimber

Kimbers are copies of the Colt. Very much doubt you'd fine 'em at the same money either. In any case, find a Mk IV Colt over a 1991, if you can.

Great choice! Having owned both kimber and colts, the only 1911's in my stable now are colts, one US&S and a Springfield. So here's my vote

Just the usuals, don't over-lubricate, just a thin film, too wet attracts collections of abrasive grime. And be care removing the slide stop, not to mark the frame.

You won,t be disappointed.
I have always just used oil and have not had any problems.
I like FP 10.
It cleans, lubes and protects.
Get out and shoot that thing and give us a report.
