I'm in the market and a little stuck as to which one I want. The only thing I would like is that it would be as light as possible. Here are my three choices :
KAC
LWRCI
PWS
Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

I don't think that KAC makes a gas piston gun? Try Adams Arms, I have one of there uppers and it's G2G, it can be found on CORE AR's, also SIG has a few offerings in 5.56 & 7.62.

There's Ruger SR556 carbine. A few of the dealers offer this along with Irunguns. Not sure about the weight though...

Not sure myself if KAC is gas or not they don't say on there web site. And I don't want to deal with irunguns because of warranty . I know PWS is a great gas rifle but has anybody owned a LWRCI.

KACs are DI. Irunguns will take care of you, they have a class 3(?) license and can import/export just about anything for warranty purposes. As for LWCRI, they're fairly rare in Canada, I've never seen one at the range or for sale.

We just got set up as the Canadian distributor of LWCRI this year.

The old one was focused only on government sales.

We are working on a shipment right now which include the 8" barrel ones.

They can be found here on the website.

LWRCI and PWS seem to be the most vetted of the piston AR's.
I'd still get a DI, if for nothing else than the non-proprietary parts aspect.
Mind you, KAC stuff is proprietary, but their stuff is as well-tested as it gets.

HK if Gas piston LWRC is good for a Fanboy/feel cool at the range....HK is the best piston system out there...Don't you want the gun that was used to kill UBL???????

PWS, especially the new mod 1's are a good bargain for the price, replace the crappy trigger and you're set. They are likely the lightest piston guns. LMT piston gun is heavier but has the advantage of easily replacing barrels...you can also convert to DI or different calibers by switching barrels and bolt groups.

I'm not sure how one goes replacing barrel on a PWS.

I own 2 PWS rifles, I have a Mk112 .223 and a Mk109 in 300BLK and love them both. Great rifles and neither one has ever had a failure than wasn't ammo related.
I like them so much I sold the rest of my AR's.
The only downside to them is the trigger isn't great, it's good but there are definitely better ones available.

Geissele triggers would fix that problem in a hurry.
