Hummasons has much better prices and selection, but you need a bigger group buy because their shipping is about $150.00 for up to 400 lbs. of powder and primers.

Depends how you look at it. At keg price Higginsons price per pound is 5 bucks higher than Hummason. To get the "Free shipping" you buy 21 pounds and pay $105 extra. Then you pay for than Haz Mat on top of that, so basically its a break even deal at either outfit around the 20 pound mark.

The real deal is to order from Hummason a couple or four hundred pounds at a time. There is something invigorating about a powder order that involves a fork-lift.

Once I get freight down to a buck a pound, I'm breaking even on the PST that I don't have to pay. That, if I contort my brain right makes it free.
