Thinking I need a decent bolt .22 -- Hearing good things about cz. What's the difference between CZ models 452, 453, & 455? Been thing of the American version.
Thanks, J

AFAIK the main difference is that the 453 have the set trigger, and the 455 have the interchangeable barrel system. Other than that they're just sequential generations. Also, you can now get the set triggers for the 455's as well, if that matters.

452 and 453 have 2 locking lugs and a threaded on barrel which some people say is superior to the barrel attached with screws. The 453 has the addition of a single set trigger. (really nice, btw.) The 455 has interchangeable barrel system (22lr, 22mag, and 17hmr) and one locking lug. Apparently, there's a varmint model 455 with a single set trigger as well... One has to try a properly tuned single set to appreciate it... I love mine for longer range shooting....

The SST add on is only available to 455s over a certain S/N. Those were started to be produced in 2012, IIRC.

That's correct. I checked mine when I read about it and I'm good to go, but I didn't know if I cared. After your shining endorsement of the SST though, I think my wallet may get a bit lighter. Thanks!? :)

It's very popular in Europe, and if you like a hair trigger, you'll like it... It has over travel though... I love it. :D I like the option of either a hair trigger or a field weight trigger...
