i have a new hw45 black star in .22cal. have about 2000 pellets fired through it in a week. i have been reading online about lube tunes and aftermarket springs and polishing will make the action much smoother and possibly bring the velocity closer to the 500fps limit. i have found some airgun tuners in the states but cant seem to find any in canada. Any suggestions?

Don't think you'll ever get the HW45 .22 up to 500fps with any amt of tuning.Maybe with lightweight pellets but they are hard on the gun.

Make your own spring from square, rather than round profile spring steel of the same dimensions as the stock spring. It will require quality lubricant as there will be a small increase of friction, but the square spring stock will give increased power while maintaining the same dimensions and spring recoil.
