Anyone here practice with airsoft?

friend of mine bought the GHK AKM< it looks nice, but its pretty bad, the bolt doesnt have full travel, and it just feels too light, and like a toy,
I have an AK made by WE, and while its also a pile of ####, its a much cheaper pile of ####, with available aftermarket parts to make it not ####, for cheaper than the total price of the GHK, and when it is running, the recoil, sound and look of the WE is far above the GHK< in my opinion
The GHK AKM looks awesome (full auto).

Then i remind myself that its a ####ty airsoft gun and it cost 500$.......

Any place here in GTA? Didn't want to import this toy, would like to buy locally.

yes there are, though the process for the most part is a pain in the ass, joining airsoftcanada, getting "age verified" (meet with a volunteer from the site in person and he checks your ID) to get access to the classifieds, etc etc, OOOOOR if you go to torontoairsoft.com. or their brick and mortar store thats in toronto they have a selection of cheaply made clones of the gun I listed, they have metal slides, but the quality of the tokyo marui is not there
notice i say cheaply made and not cheap
the WE clones run 200ish, and the "real" TM ones can run 350ish sometimes, in canada, that is
though personally if I had to buy another WE clone pistol itd be their XDm, I love those things

ooooh Im just thinking now, they may still have the ####ty "canadian legal" hicappas, that have a smoked PLASTIC frame, and these are totally garbage and to be avoided at all costs, the frames crack within a few hundred shots if your lucky

I know of people/businesses that have the TMs instock but theyre really touchy about that AV thing, they go for that as if it were a PAL, if you're not AVed they wont sell you anything, though I have done for the past, ordered for a luger for a non-airsofter that wouldnt be "allowed" to buy it otherwise

Good news!

That's good news, I have RPAL and am shooting IPSC for the last 21 years around the world.

If you can help me on the baby steps I have to take, I would like to buy a STI Edge just to dry fire. If you can't guide me, thank you for the information you already posted.

Regards,

Eduardo

Airsoft Canada didn't allow me to register, sent a message to the admin. How much is a custom made TM - STI Edge with metal parts?

There is a 'Convention' all this weekend btw. Anyone can go in Toronto.

Airsoft is fun & great training, I have been involved with the sport for many years, & there are stores in GTA you can go to in person. I have built a few personally, & played some. The Laws surrounding them ..Esp. trying to Import one (don't bother) are as messed up (& change time to time) as our real steel regulations. I am a member of Airsoft Canada, it's worth it to get Age Verified & use their classified sections. A google search should get you to many stores in Canada where you could buy from as an alternative. You can get some decent stuff for the $300 range (rifles & hand guns), even full metal Ak's with Real wood too!.. then from there, just like our real firearms, you can start to upgrade the sh*t outta it if you want. $ skies the limit on some builds. Some even build an Airsoft M16 or Variant using a real upper(fitted with the airsoft components)real grips/stocks, magpul parts for example etc. just keeping the (lower) receiver actual Airsoft. (they come apart them same) For realism itis pretty much as close as you will get, but I still seem to have more of a hoot playing PaintBall ! ...

Eduardo, if you're not too shy about tinkering you could start with one of these and build it up to whatever configuration you want, though they are currently OOS unfortunately. Otherwise you could use a WE Tech gun, though their quality is not the same level as TM.

Mach 1 Airsoft just SW of Pine Valley @ Steeles

Select Paintball Super Centre at 7887 Weston Rd, just N of Weston Rd in Woodbridge - told me if they didn't have it, they could probably get it.

Online, there's milsig.ca
