Is there anyone building a fiberglass or a carbon fiber stock kit for a vz/cz yet? Been toying with the idea of building one. I have 15 years plus in fiberglass manufacturing, so wouldn't be that hard to do. I think the carbon fiber look would look great!!

Something in a large twill weave, easy to work with and really show off the carbon look. Any carbon fiber stock, will be stronger than the beaver wood stock, so more for the look than a stronger stock.

Ya this is a great idea ... keep us posted , Does carbon fiber hold up to heat well ? just wondering about the forward grip

The carbon fiber will hold up great, it's the resin choice that is important. Most resin fail at around 400 degree. That's why there is a heat shield on the back side of the top cover. I would think that the resin used to hold together all those wood chips on the original beaver wood stocks are of the cheaps type made.

Today is the start of the new project. I have remove all the beaver wood for my brand new, never been fired cz858.
As a side note, who ever suggested using a tire iron to remove the bolt that holds the stock on,was right on the money. It took little to know effort to remove the bolt. Thanks alot! That's one the great things about this forum!!. The upper foregrip I remove one of the side tangs with my dremel tool and rotated it off. After looking at it (after getting off) it looks like it would have came off with out removing the tang, much harder to rotate, but I think it could have been done.
So know the real work begins, sanding, smoothing , getting rid of the factory defects.
I'm thinking of adding / extending the stock about an inch- to an inch and a half.
This project is going to take awhile, working full time (55 plus hours a week) so not alot of time to play.
I'll try to keep pics coming as things progress, this is going to be one fun project!!!!!!

Small up date, I stretch the stock and pistol grip. All the pieces are in sanding gelcoat, awaiting final sanding ( sanding down to 1500 grit ) then the molding can start. The stock I stretched 1" and the pistol grip around an Inch. Starting to look good!!!
