Went up shooting today and started having problems with the gun feeding from the left side of the magazine, when I pulled the bolt back and had a look it was missing a large chunk of steel from the face. Anyone else have this problem, or any ideas on where I could buy a new (or gently used) bolt?

Cheers guys,

Mitch

Corwin arms could get you CSA bolts possibly, I ordered a spare bolt and carrier recently from wolverine. Marstar has spare parts as well but more pricey than wolverine was. What ammo where you using? I had a bolt failure recently and want to see if there is a trend.

I found it VERY difficult to find extra parts for the CZ 858. Most people that supply them have orders "stuck at the border" or simply have no stock. Those spare part kits were near impossible for me to find. After much searching I found one at Reliable Gun. I had to phone them to check stock as their website wouldn't work on my comp. They had one $99 parts kit but it may be worth a phone call to see if they have another.

I had this exact failure after around 500 rounds. I posted pictures of it a few months ago. Wolverine fixed me right up with a new bolt.

Take a look at your breech face. You'll see a little knick where that part of the bolt has been hitting it. The problem will be compounded if you have been letting the bolt carrier slam home without a round being chambered.

Call Wolverine, I believe they handle the CZ warranty service now and when I broke my striker, I had a new one plus op spring within a week. Great service indeed.

Yikes, thanks for sharing all your experiences now I'm really happy I didn't buy one
of these guns.

That's the exception and not the rule. I've put a few thousand rounds through mine that I built from a used mil parts set and it hasn't given me any problems except for the worn out piston that was supplied with the kit.

If you replace the breech block, make sure and have the head space checked.

Yes, breached blocks are stamped o-1 through 0-5, my CSA is a 0-5 and Cz is 0-3. A different bolt may be different dimensions(slightly but enough) So I'd check HS after a new bolt as well. At least carefully compare the 2 bolts with good calipers.
