yes and no. people "in the know" will tell you the very vast majority of the vet bringbacks turning up here on CGN are recent US exports.

I had a "K98 Water Witch" with Pearl Handles custom made years ago, and I use this useful tool to detect where the vet bring back Mausers are all across the world.

I started out with a Willow, which works very well....then graduated to steel rods with bent handles and then the custom Pearl handles added...guaranteed to find every K98 on the block!
