NEA Collapsible stock

Works just fine, but now I want to separate the upper and lower so I can change the trigger. How do I get them apart? The special bolt gets in the way.

There must be an easier way though since you would want to remove the rear takedown pin just to clean the rifle, which is something you should not have to remove the stock to do.

IIRC, I read here that if you pull both takedown pins you can pull the upper forward and off.

Yes. The bolt seems to be in the way.

I phoned NEA and they walked me through it. Bolt closed, hammer cocked, both pins out. Tilt top up as far as it will go while pushing back - and wiggle. It popped free.

Nice to have a local maker who will talk to a customer.

It's interesting you've been waiting so long as the SFRC web page says they have a bunch in stock and if they are back ordered its only a 4 week wait.
