I have always wanted an AR-15 since my father had one way back in the day when they were unrestricted. I never purchased one because they were restricted and I didn't shoot at ranges so I bought an XCR. I loved the XCR and I got a good one cause I never had one problem that some went through and the accuracy really impressed me for the type of rifle it was. I just sold my XCR (already regretting it) but I still needed a fun semi auto rifle, and now that I have a few handguns and am going to the range anyways I ordered this rifle.

So other than the initial clean, lube, and reading the owners manual is there any tricks, info, or things I should be doing before my first range trip? I Have to wait till the end of Aug for the rifle so I have some time.

Also where are the best places in Canada for AR parts, I seen Cowboy tactical, questar, and one shot usually have good stock, anybody else? I know almost everybody up top will carry some parts but would like a place that has almost everything so I only pay shipping on one or two orders.

OK off to do some reading in this forum to get me pumped.

Decent price for american made...have fun!

After you subtract the price of the included optic it came out to about the same as a norinco and PSA seems to get good reviews. Just nice that you can get into the AR game for under $1000 now. Time will tell if it was a good buy.

If you're looking for some mags I saw pmags at P&D along with a bunch of LAR mags (according to one employee). Also saw an entire box of pmags at Milarm. Saw them earlier today actually.
