Getting started with sizing some .259 down to .258 with a Lee die I just bought.
It came with a bottle of that stanky reddish brown lube.
I am wondering if I can use the white Lee case sizing lube on the lead bullets for sizing instead?

I don't think you need lube to sizeé
the lube is to lube bullets after they are resized, so they dont lead your barrel.

Oops... never mind. Mis-read the OP. I was about to recommend Imperial Die Sizing Wax, but it's not designed for bullets. Works like a hot damn on cases, though!

your suppose to tumble lube the bullets, then size, then tumble lube once more.

if you mix the lee case sizing lube (white stuff) mix it 15 or so parts 99% isopropyl alcohol to lube and use a spray bottle. let the alcohol dry and then size them. but i wouldn't use it as a bullet lube, though might be worth a shot .

I've used the very same setup to size .358 FMJ bullets down to 9mm for a 9 x 57 Mauser. I found the best lube "I had on hand" for this was RCBS's case lube. You want em as slick as you can get em.
