Hello,

I was cleaning my Beretta 90-two today and I noticed that the little round dot in the middle of my front sight had fallen out. The sight is fine but the white/yellow insert dot is missing.

The gun is a couple years old and out of warranty.

I'm in Vancouver BC, I assume I'd need to take it to a gun smith. My Berretta is my baby and I want to get her fixed properly. Can anyone suggest someone excellent that I can take her too have her fixed.

Thanks,
April

I've done them myself, degrease with acetone then apply gloss white model paint. Use a toothpick or paperclip to apply a very small amount, add a bit more as needed.

If it's just repainting the dot that is needed, a smith won't do anything different then you can. If anything, you will take more time on "your baby" then a smith would.

Thanks for the suggestions, I didn't reply right away because I wanted to take some pictures to help it make more sense.

The front sight has left a fairly deep hole, it's just not painted on the surface. Am I suppose to put model glue all the way down in there and fill it up?

The rear sights don't look like they are paint, they look like some plastic type stuff. Also the rear sights glow in the dark, I never heard of model paint that glows in the dark. Do they make glow in the dark model paint?

Here are some pictures. The handgun is a Beretta 90-two, it was a special edition gun that was only available for a year or two. I don't know if they went with the standard Beretta sights or if they did something special for this model.

The rear sights "glow" in the dark, how do I make the front site glow in the dark like the rear ones?

Thanks for the help.
April

Is it a night sight insert that fell out? Blurry pic, can't tell. Contact Beretta and ask them what to do. Contacting the manufacturer has always worked for me.

It's a Superluminova front sight...a cheap version of a real tritium night sight. You have to charge these with a light source and they will glow bright for about 15 minutes.
