What quantity and what size grains? I'm interested because I live 15 min away from where they are situated.

"...Is this what some of you use..." Yep. Size doesn't matter. You don't need any kind of liquid polish either. Brass needs to be clean, not shiney.

I got my start with a tumbler using walnut shell from the oil patch.
Could have had a 50# bag just for asking.
Currently buy the walnut shell for $1 per pound.

Recently the freezer was cleaned out and about a pound of grain (spelt) was to be discarded.
WTH . . . add some to the tub and try it as a medium . . . nice clean brass like it was made for the job.
The third batch is currently in the tumbler. Next batch will just be the grain.
