So I have about $1000 to spend, and can't find anything that really has me excited.

I feel like I have done it all as far as rimfire is concerned, and have been sitting here for the last 2 days not knowing what to buy, and this money is burning a hole in my pocket.

I am leaning towards a CZ and spending a bit on a nice scope, but I have 2 of them already and might be convinced to drop some money on a Sako Quad.

Basically I am in need of some ideas.

Any help is much appreciated.

Rifle or pistol? I have a Walther licenced HK416 rifle and pistol in .22 (same action, barrel and stock are different) that are fun tacticals, but not super accurate or cheap. I am waiting for a Rock Island Armory MIG 22 that is supposed to be the cat's ass, all metal, 18" full float barrel that was over $800 but are on sale for mid$400. Also have a mossy 715t flat top, don't get one of these get a 10/22 instead. Also, for $1000 you could get a Glock 17/22 and a .22 conversion kit if you shop it right, but I would suggest a .22 dedicated pistol instead.

try that repeater, if you don't like it sell it for what you paid for and move on, it cost NOTHING to try it, only ammo. I know I had one

If looking for accuracy out of a 22 you will never be happy until you find the right ammo rifle combo, oh ya and the right conditions.

Not sure if your looking for super accuracy or not, but I once owned a Pietta PPS 50 and it was a hoot to shoot especially with the 50rnd drum mag.It was suprisingly accurate out to 50yds hitting 4in targets easily. It is a well made little rifle designed to look like a WW2 sub-machine gun..Haven't seen many around lately.Wish I had kept it now..

Shot at the range a couple weeks ago with a guy that had a Sako Quad. Holy crap it was a chore to sight in as he didn't have the intsruction book on how to adjust the scope. If you buy one be sure you get the instructions, will save you a lot of time and frustration.

Save some money, buy the scope from 4scopes.com. Saved about $200 on the scope and $75 on burris rings ontop of shipping costs!
If you want light and expensive look at volquartsen.
Keltec has the su22 and plr22 that is 2.8 lbs.
I'm looking at a ch22 in an Axiom stock with a 12" barrel.

Alright, to narrow it down a little, I am looking for an accurate non restricted .22lr.

I have owned all the tactical stuff, and really am not into it. Accuracy counts for more than the cool factor for me.

Leaning towards a bolt gun, that will be my go to range toy.....

Cant help you with a 22 but sure know how you feel... JP.

I just got a new 64 MPR today, putting it together now, will know how it shoots in 2-3 days and will tweak it from there on if needed.
I got an old marlin 81 that holds 3/4" 5 shot at 100yard with a 10x scope and center X... so it better beat that :D
