where and how much?

Midway's got them up for $23 and change, who knows how it will be marked up here in Canada. Probably not available until late December this year or early next year. The indent looks interesting...wonder if it's designed for right-hand shooters to index the left hand (that fleshy bit of your palm where your thumb is connected to....no idea what the scientific term is).

That indentation/scallop on the grip was designed to aid in accessing the mag release button a bit easier esp. helpful for shooters with smaller hands/thumb.

Not bad, but something ain't right, not sure what it is but it'll be there in the gen 2 ;) Magpul usually gets it right the 2nd time around...
I'd still try it mind you. Did we get a peek at the other side of these?

They look ok but I'm way more partial to a nice set of wood grips (like Rosewood...love that colour)...so I'll pass on these. Now if I had a Norc I might think about it (but I don't).

I usually throw a set of VZs on my 1911s...but when I saw the title of this thread I thought for sure I'd found a replacement, however I must admit that at first glance they don't look like my cup of tea. I've found that Magpul's texturing in their rifle products to be top notch, with a number of different textures used, depending on the application. The bumps here look a little odd, and that mag release groove concerns me. I prefer a flat grip that allows me flexibility on thumb placement, and even with small hands I don't have an issue reaching the mag release. I do know, though, that Magpul put a lot of thought into their products so I'll reserve final judgment until I hear first-hand how they work.
